I have really enjoyed Lego star wars but found Lego Indiana Jones sort of repetition of the same game just different movie franchise. That's not the case with Lego Batman. First an original story makes it fun, the idea of all suites and different capabilities makes it an interesting addition to the series. Also the fact you play the criminals part of the story adds an evil twist (wouldn't it be nice to play Star wars as Darth Vader).If you are a Batman fan or enjoyed Lego Star wars, I would recommend this one for you.
This is a fun fun fun game. It can be enjoyed by kids and parents alike. If you get stuck you can do walkthrough searches for cheat codes.
Overall, we are very satisfied with this game. I purchased this game for my almost 7-year-old grandson and would purchase this again as I am overall very satisfied. It is providing many enjoyable hours of entertainment for my grandson, which is what I had hoped it would do. At first he had some difficulties playing it but then my daughter reset the controls on the keyboard and he was able to play with no problems and really enjoys it now. My daughter says she wishes it had the capabilities to have separate keyboard control settins for 1 player and 2 player. So, all in all it has fullfilled my expectations for this purchase. I recommend this to anyone with a young child who enjoys Batman.
This is all he thinks about and wants to do. We borrowed it from the library to try it out, and it was a big hit. My son, who is 4 1/2, loves this game, almost too much. He wants to keep it forever. There are lots of funny moments during the game, which make me laugh, but go right over his head.
The computer is so DUMB,(especially during Free Play mode) that you NEED an actual PERSON to play. It is probably the best in the "Lego(insert franchise here)" series. For example, when I change into a toxin-resistant character to pass a pile of poison, you expect your partner to file suit, right. But, as usual, PC is the LAST priority for gaming publishers and it shows on this game. Half the time, you won't be able to figure it out unless you are directed.-Keep your display at 800x600 and turn all graphical options off(Shadows, bloom, etc). I have a computer like that in my basement. To HELP you instead of HARM you.
But, I ran this game on my new computer: A Core 2 Duo with 2GB of memory and a 512MB Nvidia GeForce 8000. After all, it's one of those few games for people with an older system to still be able to enjoy modern games instead of the same stuff released a while ago.After all, it can run on a 1Ghz Pentium III with only 256MB of memory and a DVD drive. Yet still, a game that should run flawlessly on my system somehow.doesn't.The game IS fun, and I have it beaten near 100%, but sometimes you need to adjust your graphical settings and make them LOWER in order to pass certain levels. Happened to me on one of the Joker stages.So, all in all, a great game.
Lego Batman is a very fun game. A couple words of advice:-GET A CONTROLLER. The PC controls are horrible.-GET A GUIDE. It runs faster like this and less bugs occur.-If you can, GET A SECOND PERSON TO PLAY THIS WITH YOU. Also, the AI is dumber than dirt and 7/10 times the computer DAMPERS your progress instead of HELPING it. True example. While the other versions play near flawlessly, this game doesn't.I can't knock it too much. WRONG.
Especially during the Penguin boss fight for the heroes.I should be able to get sucked into a game, not to stop and pause to change my settings. Isn't that the point of a partner. He just stands there running in circles like an idiot. Great replay value, but a terrible translation of a sure fire winner.
